FIRST PLACE AT THE HOSPITALITY HR AWARDS 2021

In September 2021, the Hospitality HR Awards 2021 were presented by the German Hotel Academy. The awards were given to outstanding employers in the hotel and hospitality industry. Once again, we were delighted to receive an award and secure a top position:

First place in the category “HR Strategies in Individual Hotels & Gastronomy.” This category focuses on setting new standards at all levels of HR management – from recruiting and training to employee development.

Since 2013, the Hospitality HR Award has recognized exemplary employers in the hotel and hospitality industry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The award honors innovative strategies in the categories of training, recruiting, and employee retention/development, as well as the best comprehensive overall HR strategies.

Our efforts in the areas of sustainability and environmental protection have paid off. We are very pleased to have been awarded the "DEHOGA Umweltcheck SILBER" re-certification in 2025.

Dallmayr

Since mid-2024, we have been connected by a special partnership with Dallmayr – a traditional Munich-based company that, like us, is deeply rooted in the city while also looking ahead. What unites us is a shared commitment to the highest quality, true craftsmanship, and an openness to new concepts of enjoyment.

Together, we have developed two exclusive coffee roasts for our Josefa – the smooth and aromatic Tender Blend and the intensely complex Power Blend. Both combine the finest beans, traditional drum roasting, and a modern diversity of flavors to create a special coffee experience.

Whether at our Espresso Martini Nights or as a classic espresso in the Josefa: the collaboration with Dallmayr can be tasted in every cup – an expression of authentic Munich coffee culture with an innovative spirit.

Film meets hospitality: Since 2025, we have been connected by a special partnership with Bavaria Filmstadt – a place where film history comes to life. What unites us is the desire to create authentic experiences that move, inspire, and stay in people’s memories.

The Platzl Hotels and Bavaria Filmstadt both stand for Bavarian hospitality, quality, and emotional storytelling – right in the heart of Munich or at the historic media location in Grünwald. Bi PHiT

Professional support in the areas of fitness, training, and recovery: Bi PHiT stands for personalized coaching, effective training methods, and relaxing massages. Whether personal training, a video-guided workout in the boutique gym, or soothing treatments at the hotel – health and well-being take center stage.

In addition to classic massages, the offering is complemented by modern training equipment, functional gear, and a customized video program. A combination of movement and relaxation – holistic, high-quality, and right in the heart of Munich at our Platzl Hotel.

Münchner Käse Manufaktur

Right in the heart of Munich, the Münchner Käse Manufaktur produces the finest cheese using traditional craftsmanship – made from regional organic hay milk, with passion and a delicate touch. The glass-walled city creamery impressively demonstrates how traditional craftsmanship and creative variety of flavors go hand in hand: whether Isarbazi, the rich Ludwig, or the hoppy Brezn-Kas – here everything is crafted with care, transparency, and sustainability.
